My battery goes 30% over night and I can go 4-5 hours of usage. I am pretty sure if I go to a Samsung service they will be not able to so anything. I want to sell the phone but I I’ll give it a go another 2 months, maybe the upcoming updates will partially solve the problem. Any tips?

Solution: If your battery is draining fast after a software update then you should try the following steps listed below.

Update your phone apps by going to the Google Play Store and checking if any there are updates available for your apps.

Remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed as this might be causing the problem.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 8 No Longer Charges

Problem: I have a Samsung Note 8. Somehow the guards came out when I was charging it. Yes. I was using a Samsung charger. At any rate… I can no longer charge my phone with the charger. Is there a way that I can charge this phone without a charger? I am on disability because I have kidney failure, so I cannot afford to go out and spend $600 on a new phone. Solution: This phone has a wireless charging capability. I suggest that you get a wireless charger that’s compatible with your phone then charge your device with it. Once the battery has sufficient charge you will be able to turn on the phone then retrieve the data stored in it.

Note 8 Will Not Turn On

Problem: I have a galaxy note 8 ok and it came on the screen and said ur phone is updating please do not turn off well my phone died or something and now it won’t work I turn it and it says Samsung galaxy note 8 then it automatically pops up and has a little android man and says ur phone can’t properly turn on go to Verizon something on a computer to repair your phone. And it won’t do anything else I’ve done the trouble shoot where u hold the volume up down home key and volume I’ve hit reboot factory reset and it just goes back and says go to computer to repair

Solution: If you are unable to perform a factory reset on the phone then the best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to Verizon and have them check the device.

Note 8 Only Charges From Computer USB Port

Problem: Note 8 only charges from computer USB. I have tried using the same fast charging box and cable on a different note 8 it works when I do it on my phone it does not work. I have disabled debugging I have done a soft reset still will not fast charge. Have done a master reset still not charging. Any other suggestions?

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to make sure that  the charging port of the phone is free from any dirt or debris. Clean this port using a can of compressed air. Once this is done try charging the phone again. If the issue persists then this could already be caused by a faulty charging port assembly. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.
